1. The agreement
These terms are between you and Erbacci LTD (reg. HE 457237, Strovolou 77, Strovolos Center, Flat/Office 301, Strovolos 2018, Lefkosia (Nicosia), Cyprus), the operator of Smart Notifications. By linking your Ring account to the app or using it in any way, you accept them. If you do not accept them, do not link your account.
2. What the service is
Smart Notifications gives you finer control over the notifications your Ring cameras produce: a distinct sound per camera, motion filtered to people only, quiet hours per camera, grouping of a burst of events into a single notification, an optional snapshot, and statistics about how much was filtered out.
Smart Notifications works alongside the Ring app; nothing in Ring is changed. It does not modify, disable, replace or interfere with Ring's own notifications, settings or features. Your Ring app keeps behaving exactly as it did.
3. Not an emergency or life-safety service
The app is a convenience tool for managing notifications. It is not a security, emergency, monitoring or life-safety service, and you must not rely on it as one. Notifications depend on your cameras, your Ring subscription, your network, Ring's services, push delivery by Apple and Google, and your phone's own settings — any of which can delay or prevent a notification. Do not use the app in any situation where a missed or late notification could cause harm or loss.
By design the app suppresses notifications you have told it to suppress. If you switch on people-only, quiet hours, grouping or a cooldown, you will deliberately not be told about some events. The in-app event history shows you everything, including what was filtered, so you can see the effect of your own rules and change them.
4. What you need
You need a Ring account with at least one compatible camera or doorbell, a Ring subscription where the features you use require one, and you must link the two accounts. The app is available in the United States only. You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority where you live, and you must be entitled to use the Ring devices you connect.
5. Your household
You may invite other people in your household. They sign in with their own email address and receive the same camera notifications. As the account owner you decide the rules for each camera and you can remove a member at any time, which also stops notifications to their devices. Invite only people you intend to give this access to — they will see your cameras' names, event history and snapshots.
6. Subscription and payment
Some features require a paid subscription. Subscriptions are sold, billed and renewed through the Ring Billing System; Erbacci LTD does not take or store your payment details. The price, billing period and any free trial are the ones shown to you in the Ring Appstore at the time you subscribe. Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled, and you cancel through Ring. When a subscription or trial ends, notifications stop and your data is treated as described in the Privacy Policy.
7. Acceptable use
You agree not to use the app to monitor people without the consent required where you live, to place cameras where people have a reasonable expectation of privacy, to harass or track any individual, or in any way that breaks the law or Ring's own terms. You agree not to attempt to reverse-engineer, disrupt or gain unauthorised access to the service, and not to use it to build a competing product.
8. Your data
How your data is handled is described in the Privacy Policy, which forms part of these terms. In short: no image analysis of any kind, no AI, snapshots kept 24 hours, event history 30 days, and deletion of everything from inside the app whenever you want.
9. Availability and changes
We aim to keep the service running but do not guarantee it will be uninterrupted or error-free. We may change, suspend or discontinue features, and we may update these terms; if a change is material we will update the effective date and, where it affects how your data is used, submit it to Ring for re-certification. Continuing to use the app after a change means you accept it.
10. Ending it
You can stop at any time by deleting your account inside the app or by unlinking the integration in the Ring app. We may suspend or end your access if you breach these terms or if we stop offering the service. On termination your data is deleted as described in the Privacy Policy; any subscription is handled under Ring's billing terms.
11. Disclaimer and liability
The app is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind to the fullest extent permitted by law, including any warranty of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or uninterrupted operation. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Erbacci LTD is not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, nor for any loss or damage arising from a notification that was delayed, suppressed by your own rules, or not delivered. Our total liability for any claim relating to the app is limited to the amount you paid for it in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, and consumer rights that apply to you by law are unaffected.
12. Third parties
Ring, Amazon, Apple and Google are not parties to this agreement, provide no warranty for the app, and are not responsible for it. Your use of Ring devices and services is governed by your own agreement with Ring.
13. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Cyprus, and the courts of Nicosia, Cyprus have jurisdiction, without depriving you of the protection of mandatory consumer-law provisions of the place where you live.
